Pullay is located on the coastal border between Chile’s Seventh and Eighth Regions. Access is via a narrow road that winds through farmlands, so caution is advised when driving in.
This wave combines a left-hand point break with beach break sections and features a freshwater stream flowing into the ocean. It’s ideal for intermediate and advanced surfers.
The spot offers a sandy bottom with rock sections that provide safety and a variety of waves—consistent and powerful—reaching average heights between 1.5 and 3 meters (5–10 ft), with ride lengths ranging from 70 to 350 meters (230–1,150 ft). It allows for long, progressive maneuvers and more than a few barrels.
Water temperatures range from 10°C to 18°C (50°F to 64°F), depending on the season. We recommend a 5/4 mm wetsuit for autumn and winter, and a 4/3 mm for spring and summer.
Although Pullay can work year-round, it performs best in the summer and early autumn. Ideal conditions occur with offshore winds and southwest swells (SW), enhanced by southerly or southeast winds (S/SE).
