When is the best time to surf in Chile?

The best time to surf in Chile is from March to November, when the South Pacific swells deliver consistent, high-quality waves. But we have good waves year-round.

Can I change my travel date free of charge?

It is possible to reschedule the tour at least 10 days in advance of the start date, subject to availability.

Rescheduling can only be done once per reservation.

How do I get there?

We'll pick you up at Santiago or Concepción Airport and transfer you to our lodge.

If you dream of an authentic surf experience, far from mass tourism and surrounded by raw nature, the coastline between Chanco and Rinconada—spanning the Maule, Ñuble, and Biobío regions—is your next destination. Along 160 km of coastal route, legendary beaches await you: Loanco, Mariscadero, Pelluhue, Curanipe, Tregualemu, Buchupureo, and Cobquecura. Here you'll find consistent waves for all levels, pristine protected landscapes, vibrant local culture, and a surprising seafood cuisine. Access has improved thanks to newly paved sections, yet many of its corners still preserve that untamed spirit—gravel roads leading to dunes, wetlands, and hidden fishing coves. These are unique places we invite you to explore with care and respect. The conditions are ideal: powerful breaks, rocky bottoms, uncrowded lineups, and waves that will help you grow as a surfer. Ocean temperatures range from 11°C to 16°C (52°F to 61°F), so we recommend a 4/3 mm or 5/4 mm wetsuit. The climate is coastal Mediterranean, with sunny summers (18°–24°C / 64°–75°F), green and epic surf autumns (10°–18°C / 50°–64°F), and rainy winters (3°–14°C / 37°–57°F) that bring out the wild force of the Pacific. But this route is about more than just surfing: it’s about natural reserves, adobe architecture, traditional weaving, and coastal communities that keep a soulful culture alive. This stretch of land has been declared a Typical Zone (Zona Típica) for its cultural heritage and represents the purest connection to the deep south of Chile.
